Last year I filed my articles of incorporation and registered my business with the state of Washington. I intend on opening an online business but recently moved to Illinois. Do I need to file my business in Illinois and incorporate my business in Illinois? Also, I'm getting ready to take a job as an independent contractor, here in Illinois and was wondering if I could ask the employer to pay my business instead of paying me, but since my business is registered in Washington, and I'd be working in Illinois, I'm not sure if that is possible. Would it make any difference to the employer if they paid me, or paid my business?
