I would just like to start off saying, before any judgments are passed, I do not fall into the dead beat dad category. I have been laid off since January of 2008. I am a CNC Machinist and to no avail have not been able to find a job in the auto industry, let alone a full or part time job in any industry.

I have had to pay a total of $5,038 and I am currently $3,333 behind. As I said, I have looked for plenty of jobs, with the paperwork to prove it. I finally decided to go back to school to get my MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), it will take 6 months to get it. I have completed 2 of these months. On the way to get this certification you must get 3 other certs first. I have my MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist), as of 2 weeks ago. So I have been looking for jobs in the IT field now. I did take a break from looking for a job for 2 months to concentrate on school to get my first cert, which I did obtain.

I have been troubleshooting PC's and Windows since 1991, for this reason I have under gone all the tasks to start my own business so that I can also try to have another type of income. The business was just started at the end of August of this year and is pc related, Sales, Service and Repair. I have just recently accomplished everything that needed to be done so that I can start making some money. Which has not brought no money in yet. This includes incorporation of the business, FEIN, and Sales, Use, & Withholding tax license from the state of Michigan. Which I have just recently got within the last 2 weeks.

My question is, if the ex or the courts decides to do a show cause hearing for failure to pay. Will I have enough to show that through it all, I have been trying really hard to find a way to support the children. So that I will not go to jail/prison or incur a fine. As this will just make it worse, emotionally scar the kids. I got a school loan for $13,500.00 to further my eduction in a field that I know a lot about, but have just started to dabble in professionally.
